The San Tan Tactical Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group is exactly what it says it is. Not content to simply take a MIL-SPEC part off the shell and slap the label ‘Enhanced’ on the box, STT has reengineered the carrier to maximize performance for shooters who push their rifles. The carrier is machined with a flared tail that better aligns the BCG in the receiver extension as it cycles and basically eliminates carrier tilt. Mass has been increased as well, keeping the bolt locked just a little longer to aid in reliability and extraction while shooting suppressed or short barreled rifles. Lastly, the optimized bearing surfaces reduce the points of contact in your receiver meaning less friction and wear! The 5.56/.223 bolt assembly is MIL-SPEC in dimension to ensure compatibility with any barrel, but also features improvements in both manufacturing technique and finishing. Both bolt assembly and bolt carrier have been finished with a slick, easy to clean, and incredibly durable salt bath nitride process.
