The Proof Research .223 Wylde 14.5″ Mid-Length Barrel is made from Carbon Fiber and is part of the AR-Type line designed to improve performance and reliability. Each barrel is designed around the Caliber Matched Gas System, also known as CAMGAS, so that it’s fine-tuned to the specific cartridge and barrel length. Since the barrel is made from carbon fiber, it’s 64% more lightweight compared to a traditional steel barrel while still providing high strength and durability. It’s built for extreme temperature resistance to dissipate heat and improve the life of the barrel. The barrel measures 14.5 inches long with a 1:8 twist rate, mid-length gas system, and threaded 1/2×28 to accept muzzle devices. It’s designed for a variety of shooting applications to improve overall performance and provide softer felt recoil.
