CMC Barrels are precision made from premium components with input from law enforcement, military, and civilian shooters to bring you the best of the best in AR-15 barrel performance. Each barrel is rigorously inspected at multiple stages of the manufacturing process with precision tools that check straightness, uniformity, and tolerances down to .0001” or the barrel won’t ship. This 16” barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel, black Nitride coated, and features a mid-length gas system for the ultimate reliability and durability. It is chambered in .223 Wylde which allows you take full advantage of consistently accurate .223 Remington loads while still being able to reliably and safely shoot affordable 5.56 ammunition. The button rifled lands and grooves with a 1:7 twist rate and 11° target crown ensure your heavier target loads are properly stabilized while still being usable with lighter bullets.

This .223 Wylde barrel is based on the SOCOM profile and only weighs 2 lbs. with a .750” gas block shelf for use with the widest variety of gas blocks. Additionally, the bottom of the gas block shelf is dimpled for easy gas block alignment and a more secure install. It is threaded 1/2×28 for .223 muzzle devices. If you are looking to build a new rifle, you can’t go wrong with CMC AR-15 barrels.
