The Government profile barreled upper from BCM features a 16″ barrel made of Mil-Spec steel material that significantly increases the barrel’s life and performance. A strong manganese phosphate finish creates a porous surface on the entire barrel to help protect against corrosion. The USGI twist rate of 1/7 is versatile and offers compatibility with heavier 5.56 ammo for superior ballistics.
This mid-length 5.56 barreled upper also offers a T-Marked upper receiver built around the concept of modularity to aid in remounting tactical accessories specific to the mission at hand. The barrel extension and upper receiver have a USGI modification that makes the feed ramp longer and steeper for increased reliable feeding. These factory machined M4 feed ramps are Mil-Spec and hard coat anodized for optimal durability.
The included BCM MCMR-15 free-float handguard is precision machined with Aerospace 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy for high strength without the bulk. It has an M-LOK compatible mounting system for optimal modularity and includes a BCM M-LOK compatible sling mount and a steel barrel nut that resists movement under heat.
